What We Offer

Comprehensive Examinations

We begin your visit with a comprehensive look at both your overall health and oral health and how they contribute to each other. Together, we will co-discover your current oral health and create a plan for any treatments that should be taken care of and educate you on not only achieving optimum health, but maintaining it. This means we do not just look at teeth, but also examine the surrounding soft and hard tissues, jaw formation and airway anatomy. We also conduct oral cancer screens. There may be incidental findings during this examination, so we will discuss options for the future. We highly recommend radiographs/x-rays in order for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

Hygiene/Periodontal Treatment

One of the most fundamental components to oral health is understanding your periodontal (gums and bone) status, which is often overlooked. Your gums and bone essentially hold your teeth. We customize your oral hygiene treatment and determine your maintenance schedule to fit your needs versus a ‘blanket’ treatment for all. Common hygiene procedures include terms such as ‘prophylaxis cleaning’, ‘scaling and root planing’ and ‘periodontal maintenance’. Sounds like another language right? Come in and we would love to educate you!

Restorative Dentistry

We provide services that are intended to repair and restore decayed, broken, damaged or replace missing teeth. For example, we offer composite resin (‘tooth-colored’) fillings, crowns, bridges, partials and dentures. Although Dr. Poole does not surgically place dental implants, she works alongside and plans with oral surgeons in order to do the restorative component known as an implant crown. We can also discuss whether you are a candidate for teeth whitening or nightguard appliances.

Emergency Visits

Accidents happen! But we are happy to help. If you are experiencing chronic or acute pain from a trauma incident or simply from neglecting oral care, please come in and see us. Dr. Poole would first examine your teeth with necessary radiographs/x-rays and testing, provide a diagnosis and then lead you to options for treatment. Examples of treatments may include endodontic therapy (‘root canals’) or oral surgery (‘extractions’). If Dr. Poole feels that any treatments are beyond her scope of field, she can refer you to the appropriate provider. The most important thing is that you as a patient are taken care of. We do hope that we don’t only see you on an emergency basis because we genuinely want to help you get you to where you only need to come in for annual cleanings and checkups.
